Why Join a WayGroup?
WayGroups are our church small groups in Kansas City designed for Scripture, prayer, and mission. We gather weekly to apply Sunday’s sermon, share life, and seek renewal in our city. Whether you’re new to faith or longing for deeper community, there’s a group for you.
At The Way Church KC, we believe discipleship happens best in community. That’s why we have WayGroups — small, diverse gatherings of people who meet weekly to grow together in God’s Word, live life together, and serve their communities.
WayGroups are not just Bible studies or social hangouts — they are the front lines of our church’s mission. In these groups, we practice what it means to follow the Way of Jesus in everyday life, care for one another like family, and live as missionaries in our city.
Whether you’re brand new to church or have been walking with Jesus for years, WayGroups are the best place to get connected, grow spiritually, and live sent.
What to Expect Each Week:
Every WayGroup is a little different, but you can count on a rhythm of discipleship and community each time you gather:
Scripture & Discussion – Groups dive deeper into God’s Word, usually connected to Sunday’s sermon, with space for questions and real conversation.
Prayer & Care – Each week, members share needs and pray for one another, building a culture of encouragement and dependence on the Spirit.
Gender-Specific Community – WayGroups are intentionally men’s groups and women’s groups. This creates space for deeper honesty, accountability, and encouragement in the unique challenges each face.
Hospitality – Groups often share a simple meal or snacks together, making room for friendships to grow.
Mission – WayGroups regularly look for ways to serve their neighbors and our city, turning faith into action.

When & Where WayGroups Meet:
WayGroups meet on Tuesday evenings at 7 PM at The Way Church KC (4326 Lloyd Street, Kansas City, KS 66103). Most gatherings last about 60–90 minutes.

Locations – Both Men’s and Women’s WayGroups meet at The Way Church KC (4326 Lloyd Street, Kansas City, KS 66103)
Childcare – We offer childcare for families with young children.
