MDWK is a mid-week gathering at The Way Church KC where we press pause on the noise of the week to encounter God together. It's not a watered-down Sunday — it's a different kind of space: smaller, more intimate, and built for going deeper.
Whether you're brand new to faith or have been following Jesus for years, MDWK is a place to slow down, go deep, and find your people. We believe mid-week community isn't optional — it's how we actually follow the Way of Jesus together, not just on Sundays.
Kids are welcome. Friends are welcome. Skeptics are welcome. Come as you are.
We believe prayer isn't a warm-up — it's the main event. We open MDWK in honest, Spirit-led prayer together, bringing our whole week before God.
Intimate, genuine worship — not a performance. We sing to a God who is present and powerful, inviting the Spirit to move among us.
Grounded in Scripture, applicable to real life. Our teaching time is focused and pastoral — meant to anchor you for the week ahead.
Small groups and targeted classes give space to go deeper with your questions, your story, and the people you're doing life with.
Not at all. MDWK is open to everyone — members, regular attenders, first-time guests, and curious newcomers alike. You don't need to have it all together. Just show up.
We love kids at The Way. Check with us on the current setup for children during MDWK — we want families to be able to engage together as much as possible.
It depends on the season! Groups might focus on a specific book of the Bible, a discipleship topic, recovery, or life stage. Classes may cover baptism, membership, spiritual gifts, or other foundational topics. We'll announce what's happening each season.
MDWK meets at our Rosedale building in Kansas City, KS. Street parking is available nearby. If it's your first time, we'd love to welcome you — reach out and we'll make sure you're set.
Sunday is our primary gathering for worship, preaching, and communion as the full church family. MDWK is more intimate — a chance to pray, go deeper in the Word, and invest in relationships in a smaller setting. Both matter. Both are worth showing up for.
No dress code. No perfect past required. Just come.
